The Good Morning Britain presenter wanders “this winding piece of paradise” in a new ITV show, Wonders of the Coast Path – as tourists are welcomed back.
The Wales Coastal Path is set to star in a new series on ITV airing this Thursday, in which Good Morning Britain presenter Sean Fletcher embarks on a journey from Chepstow to Queensferry.
The footpath was launched in 2012 – becoming the first dedicated route in the world to cover the entire length of a country’s coastline.
The six-part Wonders of the Coast Path sees Fletcher explore the 870-mile coastal route, beginning in episode one with the isle of Anglesey.
The series was filmed by ITV Cymru Wales before the lockdown began, and was broadcast in Wales in April and May.
The tourist board will also launch its first virtual webinar in partnership with ITV Wales, which will provide an update on post-Covid-19 guidelines for the path.
The event, hosted ITV’s Kate Lewis and featuring Fletcher, will take place on July 23 at 1pm and will be streamed on Facebook Live.
Episode 1: North Wales and Anglesey of Wonders of the Coast Path airs on Thursday July 23 at 8pm on ITV.
